I’m sure most people who have Pages use it like they use Microsoft’s Word. If you’ve never played with Page Layout side of Pages you’re missing out on a lot of great stuff. Pages is designed not only to type a letter, or to write you resume, but also to format newsletters, and create magazine pages. Most professionals would much rather work in a Page Layout piece of software, because element of the document is an object. When each element, sets of text, or each image, is an object they can be manipulated individually rather than having to manipulate the entire document.
